Outfit # 58 of my 6-Month Challenge

Lately, I find myself reaching for my blazers more and more. I used to be a hardcore cardigan gal, but I think the blazer adds just a little bit more structure and edge to my outfit. This jacket I'm wearing is actually  soft like a cardigan, but is structured and cut like a blazer-- which means it's got the best of both worlds! It's also so easy to pair with everything since it's black!

What do you prefer? Blazers or Cardigans?

The sweet Anita from Thick Threads featured me on her blog! Check the interview out here! I spout faux wisdom on fashion philosophy, inspiration, and Coco Chanel. You'll like it. I promise.

  2. I only have one blazer (and it's made from a material like a sweatshirt, so I don't even know that it counts, lol) I would have to go with cardigans on this one just because that is all I really know!

  3. Black, white and pink is so great together! I am a blazer girl for sure. Have a great weekend! Heather

  10. You know that I am a blazer gal. I love nothing more than a good, structured blazer. It makes every outfit seem a little bit more put together and a little edgier.

  11. I was a hardcore cardigan gal too. guess I kinda still am though actually. I have to force myself to wear things other than my fav cardis.

Love the bold colors in this look. You look great.

Following you now, I hope you'll stop by my blog and follow me back if you like.

    Have a great weekend!

  12. I only have one blazer which is a "booo" for me. I definitely need to start investing in more of them because I do love them quite a bit. I'm just now getting a rather robust cardigan collection. I love a good snuggly one. It can't be itchy or ill fitting. It must be luxurious and something I truly want to put on. I love how affordable your outfit is combined with it's sass and cute factors multiplied by 100.

  13. It's not secret that I'm a cardigan lover. =P Most blazers make me feel a bit too edgy. As always, you look adorable! LOVE that scarf!

  14. cardis, but love me blazer!
    how was dinner?

    ReplyDelete
  15. It depends on the look I'm going for. Blazers are for sophistacted and sexy looks and cardis are for soft and sweet looks. I love em both and have probably 30 of them for cold Indiana winters!

  16. How cool is that belt. I WOULD be a blazer gal if only I'd go ahead and BUY one :c

  17. I prefer cardigans... slouchy ones without buttons. I have a blazer, but I can't find it!

    ReplyDelete
  18. You always look so cheery L! This outfit may have been the reason - I love the hot pink tunic on you - the color is so vibrant. You always have the cutest facial expressions! I use to like the slouchy look of cardigans but as of late I am gearing more towards blazer myself. You are right maybe it's because of the structure and cut that I like. You may have found just the perfect balance - kudos my dear.

And thank you for tweeting about me today! I have to be honest though. I don't know how to use Twitter yet. The only thing I know how to do so far is to click on the T icon on my blog to post my recent entry...hopefully once finals are done I can spend more time on it. I know I am hopeless!

    Have a great weekend!

  21. I'm such a cardi-girl through and through. Blazers always feel too constricting in the arms on me! urg. I'd love to wear them more though!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm partial to both the cardigan and blazers. Depends on the outfit and mood I guess. I'm lovin' those shoes of yours!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love them both. There's a place for them for all outfits, I think. The cardi is a more relaxed look and the blazer is more polished. How about a fitted blazer over a long cardi? Huh? Now we're talk'n.

I love the pink and black combo. And that black and white scarf is fabtabulous (new word).

  26. I like the look of both blazers and cardigans...I only recently started learning how to layer items, though, so I don't have very many of either. I need a nice blazer! It's on my shopping list.

P.S. Your snake belt = win!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Blazers or cardigans? Don't make me choose! Both are awesome in different ways. Plus that's a great scarf, the horizontal stripes are pretty unusual (and fab).

    ReplyDelete
  28. You look so fab! Pink and black look so good together! I want that belt! It's so fun and unique! Have a great weekend Laura :) Dreama

  34. beautiful! I like blazers better but I wear cardi more often :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm more of a blazer kind of girl. Haha! It keeps me warm and makes the outfit chic as to the cardi, it's laid back and more casual.

  37. Uuhh, it sounds like a very versatile piece! Great outfit btw, love how you added the scarf!

Hhhmm... It really depends on the outfit for me. Blazers in my mind are more serious and work appropriate, were cardigans are more relaxed and good for weekends. So I guess it just depends for me!

  38. I love cardigans.. but i feel so much classy with blazers!
love your outfit laura! pretty and jolly ever!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Whoa.. this is the first time I've seen you not wearing glasses, Laura! Loving the winged eyeliner make-up, woots! :) The pink dress looks great on you, love the punch of colour against the dark leggings and cardi :) And those wedges are sooo cute!

And hmm... for it's kinda hard to choose between blazers and cardigans, I like them both, and it totally depends on where or what I'm wearing the outfit for that influences which one I'd pick lol.

  41. That's a hard pick...I always wore blazers in the past, but this year I think I find myself grabbing for more cardigans, mainly for the comfort:) Gorgeous ensemble..black, white, and pink together is such a fun and pretty combination.

  42. I love this shade of pink on you! I think it all depends on the outfit. For me, it depends on what kind of vibe I'm going for.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm slowly gravatating more towards blazers but I find that cardigans are cozier and more stretchy and cheaper.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Lovely colours in this outfit! Just feel happy looking at the photos. It's tie for me, blazers and cardigans. In SG, there's hardly an occasion for them. It's too hot!

  51. For me, it's cardigans. I've been on the lookout for a good blazer though I can't seem to find one that fits just right. I have temporarily given up and now rely on my beloved cardigans. One that melds the best of both worlds might be a good segue, though.

P.S. I reallly like your scarf :) Oh, and congrats on the feature!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I like both, it depends on what I am wearing, and where I am going! You look great in pink and without the glasses :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. I know exactly what you mean about trading up from cardis to blazers. I'm probably still both, but blazers are so much more polished I think. LOVE your shoes in this post.

  62. I like both, I do love the structure of a blazer but what I really love is the comfort of a cardigan. But it always depends on my mood and how I want to style an outfit :D I'm glad to have a few cardigans and blazers to style :D (thriftshops are awesome).

I loooooove your top with black, I mean of course it goes with a lot of other colors but i love how it pops when you pair it with neutral colors :D absolutely gorgeous outfit! :D

  64. Hey Laura! I agree with you. Blazers do add a lot more structure. I have a couple on my Christmas wishlist that I want. I love cardigans too. It just depends on how it's designed. You are looking SO pretty in PINK! It's not BLUE...LOOK AT YOU! HAHAHA Laura, you look gorgeous in COLOR. I love that striped scarf and your bow shoes are darling dahling!!! Does that bag have a bow on it? It's super cute too. You look GREAT!!! Keep adding that color. ((HUG))

  65. Blazers...no cardis! I can't decide! At home in the states, I wore a lot of blazers, but for some reason I didn't bring them here. I just stocked up on cozy cardigans, but I have missed my blazers.
Love yours AND love your shoes - sooo awesome!
