Oh Deer

SDC19776SDC19790SDC19787SDC19781

It's been unseasonably warm, and I have a feeling that winter's about to snap at us without warning and bite us in the butt. Oh dear. But I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Right now, I am enjoying being able to wear tights+skirt+cardi out to run errands. Of course, I wouldn't think of leaving the house without my deer pin-- he makes sure I keep cute all throughout the day.

My apologies for the lack of posting in the blog or commenting on your blogs. My siblings are in town, and I'm preoccupied with food trips and spontaneous gaming of board and card games. I'll be back with regular programming and with more birthmonth festivities on Monday!

  10. Sweet look, that deer pin is absolutely adorable! And nice job with that skirt, I'm clueless when it comes to sewing skirts :D Here in Finland we're already on the temperatures we "should" be this time of the year, not fun... But what is fun is that you get to spend time with the family, I actually almost tweeted you today asking where you have disappeared ;) But that's more than a great reason, have lots of fun with them! ♥ xoxo

  29. Aw, I've been thinking of my little deer pin as a she! :) I love how it looks against your pink scarf. I've only worn mine on a brown cardi, but, as often is the case, you've given me some ideas and inspiration to work with! I also love how you incorporated pink and gray into your red and black outfit (which is very sweet, btw).

Have a great time with your siblings!

  37. I love you skirt, Laura! I was thinking about the good luck that brought you this skirt (perfect fit/color/length) but then I saw you made it yourself :)

What kind of board games are you into? My family battles it out with Monopoly and Clue.

  39. Eeeeek! Such a cute deer, Laura! Love him/her! (hence the squeal).
Love all your DIY skirts too - so tres impressed with your sewing abilities.
It's been unseasonably warm in Edinburgh too, so poor Sly Pete has been stuck in my wardrobe, but I think he'll get his chance to shine this weekend when the temps drop again.
Hope you are having a faboush time with the sibs!
