Crazy Over Biscuits

SDC10130SDC19265SDC10131

Believe it or not, I only recently ate at Red Lobster. And... I was not impressed. Everything I tasted was blah (and even ugh) except for their cheddar biscuits. Oh boy. I may have snuck a few inside my purse so that the server would offer to reload our basket. Then I took all those home and tried to make them last as long as I could. Ridiculous, Yes. Delicious? Definitely.

On to less ridiculous stuff, I am having an EXSCARFAGANZA in my shop! All the scarves in the shop are priced 30-50% off their original prices! I'm trying to make room for more fabric and crafts, so the scarves have to go! Also, check out the new heart pins I've just added! They make lovely Valentine's day pressies for yourself or a special someone!

Do you like biscuits? Can you recommend any biscuit recipes?

  1. How have I never tried their biscuits? So many crappy meals there and I never thought to try them...

  2. Their biscuits are the only redeeming part of the menu (my opinion). I think my friend had success with this version of them: http://www.food.com/recipe/red-lobster-cheddar-bay-biscuits-top-secret-version-256914

Green is a fantastic color on you!

    1. Well, hello there, cheddar biscuit recipe. Thanks for the link, Cara! I am definitely going to try this out. Of course, I wish I didn't have to use Bisquik mix to begin with, but hey, either that or eat at Red Lobster, right?

  6. I have to agree Red Lobster is good for nothing but their biscuits I actually have some friends that work their and they indeed use Bisquick as the base to make them which is probably what make's them so devilishly delicious... Tricky Red Lobster people... lol The trick is not to over bake and wa-la no more reason to go to the lob.!

  7. I'm feeling better that our Red Lobster high-tailed it out of here over a decade ago (not that the Chili's that took its place is very good) Thought I was missing something amazing from all the commercials, though (another pet peeve, why do we get commercials for a restaurant that is hours away? lol) The biscuits do look delicious, though. I'll have to try the recipe someone posted above (especially because we always have Bisquick hanging around)

    1. Yep, you're not missing much. I feel the same way about Olive Garden, Chili's, Applebees, and those big chain places.

  8. Hahaha! I haven't been there in ages! But yeah, the only thing I really likes was the biscuits! Yummm. ANd you can also ask them to not drizzle the butter on them as I recall. Yummmm.

  13. I totally agree with you, I've been to Red Lobster once and was not impressed at all, especially with the quality of their seafood which is laughable, that is what their suppose to be known for. However, the biscuits are really good. Really, really good!

Try this recipe Cheddar Chive Muffins, I made them recently and liked them but I sorta over-cooked them. You look cute as you always do, I love the boots.

  15. Cute little scarf. I had never eaten at Red Lobster until a couple years ago. It is very... mediocre. There are just so many GOOD restaurants in my town it's hard to justify going there. But those cheddar biscuits are pretty good.

  16. Those biscuits are the reason that I go to Red Lobster. THE BISCUITS!!!! Yummo. I've made some baking soda biscuits that probably could taste similar if I added cheese and garlic... maybe I will!

  20. Haha I'm with you and since I'm a veggie I can't eat anything at Red Lobster so when I find myself there it's all about the biscuits! I wonder if that recipe has leaked anywhere online-hmm...

  21. Great. Now I want to go there and eat biscuits... though I'm sure it won't be worth it for that one item.

  22. red lobster is terrible right?! only their biscuits are worthy.

  23. Laura, we have a Red Lobster here in New Orleans. But it's good! Probably because of all the seafood we have though. But I'm feeling you on the biscuits. THEY are SO good! There's also a strawberry cocktail they serve. I believe a sunrise or something. OH SO GOOD! Love that green and black together. My mom is still sportin her leopard infinity scarf.

  24. Hmmm red lobster? That place is ok but def there are better places. The biscuits however...AWESOME, they rival Popeye's chicken! I've not eaten there in a long time :) I actually like the biscuit recipe in the clabber girl container.

  25. THe only biscuits I tried are from Popeye restaurant, they are quite yummy. I like your cardi, what a yummy color, looks cute with a leopard scarf.

  31. You beat me to it then. I have never eaten at Red Lobster before. Coming from a fellow food lover I will take your opinion on it then and not go. Plus it is cheaper to buy lobster home and grill it yourself anyways =)

Have a great weekend my dear!
