Do You? Tattoo?

I LOVE body art. I really admire people who have the guts and commitment to get beautiful artwork permanently drawn on their bodies. I would love to get some on me but I'm afraid I'm too finicky AND I'm a big, ol' lame baby when it comes to pain, which is why I really love the idea of fake tattoos.

With fake tattoos, I can change styles out whenever I get tired of them AND not have to agonize over the needle-pricking and what not. (yes, I am a total wuss-- I'm not ashamed to say it). The only problem is, it's really hard to find good fake tattoos. You know, ones that actually look stylish AND don't start peeling off immediately after application.

Fake Tattoos sent me the two tattoos pictured firstly. They go on like regular fake tattoos do (peel off plastic, put some water on it, then peel off the paper), but stay on much longer and don't actually peel off by themselves. I wore the skull tattoo on my weekend trip to Chicago, and it stayed on until I rubbed it off with makeup remover last Thursday.

I was really impressed with their tattoos for a couple reasons. Firstly, they offer some really cute designs for very reasonable prices. Here are a couple that I like:
Birds tattoo

Black and White Owl

Feather
Most importantly, you get your money's worth since they really last a long time. I wore mine for only a week but I had it on while I was in the spa where I went in and out of the sauna and bath for a few hours! I only had to take it off because I had to get back to work.

Do check out Fake Tattoos if you're into temporary body art. For the whole month of March, they're actually offering free worldwide shipping!

  2. Interesting...I really like some of their designs. I actually have several tattoos on my legs, back, and arms so I've never tried the fake ones...but I would.

  7. I really like the birds and the feather tattoos, they are so pretty! I really wanted to get a tattoo after my Boston Marathon run last year but I am a total weenie about needles and just never did it. These would be a fun way to try out a new look without the pain!

  8. They do have some cute designs (I think I saw an adorable bow one on there) I don't think the fake ones would coordinate well with my real ones, though. I don't really have anything super trendy to match a bow or an owl with.

  14. I've got a couple real ones, but I kind of think these are awesome. Like the fake glasses trend I'm not sure I'll be able to get on board but I've seen some other blogger ladies rocking them and I think they are kinda cool.

  16. These are interesting, but I think you should really shoot for a real one sometime in the future. It's beautiful custom art you can enjoy for the rest of your life! And depending on where you get it and your pain tolerance, some places on your body don't hurt as somewhere else. I say you should go for it and get a real one! :D

  18. I definitely want to try some fake tattoos! I remember how much I loved them when I was a kid. And now they are even more beautiful, and they would look amazing with spring/summer outfits. I've been thinking about it a lot lately! I have to search for some, in my country!

  22. I might be old school, but I don't like tattoo on a woman... I think it makes you look rude LOL. It can be cute sometimes, but only if it's on a hip, butt or so, not on super visible spots.

  24. That is pretty amazing! I am a real tattoo person and am really really really wanting a new one, a really big one. But this might be a good way to try out a design or a placement before I go for the real deal! Also to bide my time while I can save up some money!

  25. I don't have any real tattoos, but I almost got one several years ago in Japan-- a big blue koi and maybe some sakura somewhere on my back. Would have been so expensive, so I didn't. Lately I've been thinking about putting calligraphy down my spine.
