just like frida

I've had flower headbands on the brain for a long time now, and when I had a few free hours over the weekend, I made this one (and another that still has to be worn). I normally wouldn't wear anything so huge on my already huge head, but I thought I would be daring and try something new. So I went with ginormous flowers, and I kinda like it. I feel like Frida Kahlo sans the unibrow. But you couldn't be sure since my bangs are in the way.

Did you have a restful weekend? I did, sort of. After work on Saturday, I watched movies and read comics then spent all Sunday crafting. Then around 6:00pm I decided I would change my blog layout. It's 2:00 am already and I'm about to conk out. Sometimes I get crazy ideas like thinking I actually know what I'm doing.

ps. I'm working on a DIY post for floral headbands, so stay tuned!

  12. I am in love with your shoes. They remind me of these badass shoes a lady vampire wears in the first blade movie that I have never quite been able to fall out of love with. I hope that's not too weird of a reference.

  30. Laura, I'm loving the headband! And I'm loving those shoes! Oh my! They are gorgeous, lady! I think with my lack of wearing heels, I might topple over whilst wearing them but on you they look perfect! :)

  31. 1) LOVE your Frida Flower headband. I'm not sure I could work that hear (envisioning rain-soaked flowers), but I love how you went bold. Frida would have been so proud (and probably would have considered bangs if she saw you).

    2) LOVE the new header too! Kitties and glitter -- nothing better!
