Sequins and Lace

Happy Monday, everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was lacking in actual "weekend" since I had to work all of Saturday and Sunday. I tried to cram as much fun as I could have on Friday, filling it with beautiful things, culminating in a movie date with a couple of good friends. I was soooo looking forward to watch Moonrise Kingdom especially because it was showing in my favorite local theater! However, I didn't expect it to be totally jam-packed, and it ended up being sold out before we could even reach the theater doors. Bummer, for realz.

Thank goodness the theater was smack dab in the middle of downtown, and we were immediately spotted by a couple other friends who took us to watch a blues band. It ended up being a long night filled with awesome music, lots of booze, nommilicious chow, and amazing friends--albeit unplanned. Much like this outfit I wore that night.

Sequins + Lace, I thought, were going to be too much together. But if you keep the colors to a minimum, it totally works.
