unicorn poop cookies

This is just an insanely quick post since I have to dash to work, but I have to share this with you all stat.

Yesterday, while perusing Amber's twitter feed, I came upon this recipe for unicorn poop cookies. I don't usually like to eat cookies, and I really don't like the taste of sprinkles or edible glitter crap, but I love rainbows and unicorns, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I followed all the instructions almost to a T and the batch yielded me 8 hefty poops. I baked the cookies for about 9 minutes, and they turned out to be really soft, so I would probably bake them for another minute or so just to get them a bit firmer on the outside. Decor-wise, I spent all of $4 on star sparkles and the glitter gel, which to me, looks enough for my cookies, but you might want more sparkle.

Have you tried making unicorn poop cookies?

  3. LOL, never made them, not sure that I would - but they sure turned out great! My in-laws used to make a treat called Kitty Poop, it was some kind of chocolate thing, not quite as cute, lol.

  6. I've heard of these, but can't bring myself to make them. I can't even say that word. I apparently can't even type it, lol. I kind of like the sparkles and the star sprinkles, though! Where did you find star sprinkles?

    1. Surprisingly, the star sprinkles are super easy to find. I've seen them in every grocery store I've ever been to!

  10. I thought I had read the name wrong. I thought you said "unicorn pop cookies" but not it was poop...it was poop. I have not even heard of these but they look so awesome and I know I'm 24 but I still love the crap out of rainbows and glitter. Although I completely agree the edible glitter/sprinkle crap is just that. crap. I'll have to try!

    1. I LURVE rainbows! and I believe one can never have too much glitter. Except in food. I'm glad someone else out there thinks that it does taste like crap!

  15. This is hilarious and sort of sickly brilliant. I have two boys who have birthdays coming up in Oct and Nov. They appreciate all humor poop and fart related so these might just be the perfect fit.

  16. Haha I adore these cookies, I'm trying to picture my boyfriend eating these and it is too amusing (my boyfriend can usually be found wearing head to toe black and listening to death metal). These cookies look ginormous, I feel like I'd be eating unicorn poop cookies for weeks.
