the good with the bad

You guys, I think the dreary weather is getting me down. It's been so chilly and dull lately that I think I'm sinking into a sort of blahness. Too much cloudiness and rain have given me a cold and some iffy aches. I barely slept a wink last night as a result! :( I wish the sun would make an appearance soon before I get really sick.
It's been too long since I donned this dress from eShakti, and I sure wish I had a petticoat to wear underneath it or that I wore it with heels. I don't usually wear midi  length skirts with flats because the combination makes me look even shorter, but I had a meeting this day that required me being able to walk around with ease. I debated whether or not to post these pictures, but hey, I don't claim to be a fashion expert, so you get to see the good with the bad.

  1. I think it works very well without heels - you don't look overly short to me at all...in fact, you like sort of like a retro, late '40s gal!

  2. I am super glad you posted these pictures because I loooooove everything about them! This dress is awesome and your hair looked perfect to go with it. I even love the flats. I'm sorry the weather is making you sick, though :/ It's been rainy and foggy here. Matt says it looks like we're in England. I'm pretending I've been travelling since I will never leave the country for real, haha.

  3. I hear you on the dreary weather. We are finally getting some sunshine today though, so maybe it will head your way!!

I really love the dress - while I think heels would be fun, I do think it looks good with the flats too! I just adore the polka dots!

  4. I love the combination of red and purple - it's not something I would have thought to put together, but it works so well! I'm sorry about the weather - it's pretty much par for the course here, and I don't mind it so much, but around February I really start to get depressed, lol! Maybe you should get a lamp? :D

  7. That is honestly the cutest dress. I'm sick too! Everyone I know has fallen to the blah's except my personal family. And now, we're all going down too. It's colder than cold here. I can barely cope. I am thankful that we've still had the sun though so that's something. I'll keep you in my thoughts and hopefully the good vibes will help the sun break through for you. ;)
