Tigerific

I wore this sweater to work on a Friday (the most casual of work days) and got lots of  nodding approvals and inquiries on when I graduated from the University of Missouri (apparently, their mascot is a tiger.) One co-worker stopped me in the kitchen and asked where in the world did I find a tiger sweater dress. The answer, ladies and gents, is simple: the men's section at Urban Outfitters. Thank the maker I am short as a gnome because I can use sweaters as dresses! Or in this case, a tunic.
While we're on the topic of sweaters... I feel like I've never really given them a chance. I've always relegated them as "winter" clothing so I never really thought they were very budget friendly and versatile. But! thinner sweaters are amazing! They're perfect for layering and can be worn 3 out of the 4 seasons. So welcome to my closet, sweaters. Hope you'll like being worn over and over again by me.
Happy Weekend!

  3. Gorgeous...I used to find lots of sweaters that I could wear as dresses, it's an easy idea and can sometimes work out cheaper than buying dresses. Plus, sometimes there's just a print on a top that's so nice. You look lovely. Have a great weekend xx

  4. Here everyone would be asking if you like LSU (Louisiana State University). People love their crazy mascots. I feel like in this one instance being on the shorter end of the spectrum pays off!

  8. That is super cute, and super genius! I love the idea of a sweater over a skirt, but I don't think I'm chic enough...

  15. Sweaters are unbeatable for warmth but sometimes you don't want all that extra bulk. I thrifted a slim fitting cashmere-wool blend sweater that just thick enough for a silky blouse underneath. Awesome for chilly offices. Chunky sweaters are so cute over leggings and skirts, as you demonstrate so well. Love that it was a water cooler hit!! Too funny about the UM mascot!

  24. I wish I could wear cashmere or wool sweaters, but I'm afraid they are too itchy for me! But they would be perfect as my office is freeeeezing!

  25. Oh Zenni has so many pretty frames. I'll have to keep my eyes on them for frames in my size!

  26. But that makes it worse, how do you not even comb it and wind up with that??? I just hate my hair right now. Usually. Such a mess. I want to chop it off and go super short, but I know if I do I will get upset and want to grow it right back out.

  27. I just jinxed this and now I have really bad uncombed hair! I wanna see your hair short! I wish I looked good with that kind of hair, but I already know I won't :(

  28. Actually if you go on my facebook and scroll back to old pictures when i had blonde and "fun color" hair, it was always short. That's because I killed it and HAD to keep it that short, but that's neither here nor there ;P
