Street

I'm not too fond of beanies, but this look seemed to call for one. Thank goodness for B! During the winter, he's a regular beanie-wearer, so he found me one to go with this outfit stat! Instantly, I felt a bit "street," which is not a style I wear, and the feeling was only amplified by this graffiti doorway we stumbled upon while walking to lunch.
A lot of people have asked me if I miss my hair or if I feel weird about my new length. (Check out my new 'do here!) Truth be told, I really don't feel weird or sad about it at all. Hair grows, and I'm very excited to come up with different ways to wear my new, short hair.

  7. It's a very urban hipster-y look. Which I say as a good thing. I have actually tried it myself, but end up looking sloppy and not polished. Like yours looks intentional, but casual. Mine is like casual but you got spaghetti sauce on your shirt which is only masking where you spilled the coffee earlier.

  11. I really like this look! It's totes something I would wear. Comfy and casual - now, if only I could manage to look this good doing it. :D Don't get me wrong, I wear stuff like it anyways. I just don't look that good hehehe. I need to get me a black skirt like that. Maybe that will help! I'm already stealing my husband's sweaters so I'm sort of almost half way there. :) There's no way I could make his beanie look that good on me though. B seems to have better beanies. Dang! I gotta deepen my beanie resource in a budget friendly way. If you and B have any tips - please feel free to share. :D

  12. Actually, the outfit is nice, because of the gorgeous burgundy boots for me! Sometimes it's good to experiment with different styling other than our usual. Lovely outfit Laura! :)

  15. I am sure you look amazing! B actually only has 2 beanies. He goes for dark, solid colors when it comes to accessories, which is easier to wear and share!

  19. Laura, I am so impressed that you get your walks to style themselves to suit your outfit. I must try that one! Ha! No, in all seriousness, you can totally pull off that look. I always feel like beanies make my forehead look too large and dome-y, but not for you -- model, you are!

  21. very unusual but very cool! Love the little edge and the brightness of your overall look even with darker colours. It's so you and not you at the same time!
