Skirt weights

sheer top: Banana Republic
skirt: Marshalls
knee highs: Chinese Laundry
boots: Target

Bring on the rain. Bring on the cold. Bring on the gloom, because I'm so totally ready. Just please hold off on the wind. It prevents me from being able to wear my short skirts without constantly having to use my hand as skirt-weights.

  1. Wind is the enemy of skirts! And this one is so cute - love it.

  2. LOL! Since I always wear skirts and dresses, wind is my nemesis, too.

  3. I love that shirt!

And yes, wind, ugh. It makes rain so much more miserable. I have a nice rain jacket and need rainboots again, but when I had some, I was unstoppable. Except for WIND.

  4. Hahaha! I grew up wearing a uniform which was a white top and a navy skirt and the wind was always my enemy so I totally get you on that! Hahaha Have a great weekend <3

  5. There have been times where I have stopped and pressed myself against a wall or whatever I was near because the wind seems to be coming from all directions and I don't even know where to hold down. Matt always tells me to let go of my skirts. One day I did and flashed everyone just to show him it's a serious problem.

  6. I used to know someone who would sew little rectangular weights (I think some might have been brass) into the hems of their lighter weight shorter skirts. Otherwise they'd get told off at school and made to call a parent to bring a change of clothes. I thought it was the most ingenious thing ever. Of course, I bet they could never wear that something like that through the airport. :D

I really like this outfit. Is it weird that it reminds me of Madonna when she did, "Papa don't Preach"? But, obviously much classier, girlier and more current - so ummm...ok maybe I'm way off the mark lol. I don't know! It's been a weird morning. What can I say?

  7. I hear ya, the other day I wore a skirt and it was so windy. Thank crap I always wear cross body purses because I had both hands holding down my skirt. Super cute outfit! I love, love, love the boots. Stripes are always a winner. It's not even fair how cute you look in knee highs.

  11. Wind is evil for blog photos. Never mind what it does to the hair. Love the studded shoes. I've started to see them on men's footwear but I'm not sure I'm ready for that. Is that selfish?
