My belly is full of Italian Wedding Soup. It's been raining since 9 am this morning. I cannot believe the weather forecast for 100% chance of precipitation was spot on. It's damp and gross, and muddy and wet outside, thus it's the perfect opportunity to stay inside and make soup, light candles, pet cats, and goof off on the interwebs.

Sad news: my favorite pair of glasses (these ones I have on) are dead. B crushed them with his ass. And now I'm sad. And my face looks so different.

I tried to find the same frames online, but alas, the style is already sold out, and I can't seem to find thick. black frame, mega large, square-ish frames anywhere. I guess it's time for me to accept the fact that I got my $7.00 worth from these glasses and that I should move on and try something else.

  1. That sucks about the glasses...but I can't believe those babies were only $7! I think you were lucky to have them....

  2. It's been raining all day here too. Such crappy damp weather. I've definitely had an inside day too!
I'm so sorry your glasses got crushed. That's so sad! They were super cute. Maybe you'll be able to find another pair like them somewhere. There's a ton of cheap places online you could look for something similar. Those were such a great deal at $7 though.

  3. Oh no! So sad about your glass - although I have to admit I totally laughed when I read about their demise.
I want your whole outfit and am so tempted to just make a quick run to H&M for those pants.
Also, I can't remember if I told you on IG, but I love your hair!!!!

  7. Ok, I'm going to get whacky here. It's a great outfit that fits in completely with a colour scheme I'm obsessing over right now. Greys+blacks+copper. I think a shot of copper in this outfit would warm things up in a completely unexpected way and look incredible on you with your colouring. I think your hair is actually what inspired it for me. The lighter sections have an almost copper tone to them. Oh those silly glasses. What were they doing sneaking around and crawling under B's bottom? At least it wasn't a scary expensive pair. Have you tried looking at sunglass frames to find a similar size and shape? You can always have them fitted with regular lenses right? Cuz I love the shape on those frames and they remind me of a pair of prescription shades I used to have. :)

  14. Inside days are really nice though-- especially with books, soup, cats, and sleep! :) I hope I'll be able to find a similar pair of glasses too!

  15. Oh I laughed too when B sat on them. You know what? I think I spotted these pants at H&M over the past weekend for $7! ($7 must be the magic amount for this post!)

  19. Thank you very much, Rachel! I kinda miss the coppery wisps a bit, but now that my hair is shorter, I am liking that it's really just one color. Oh these glasses. B took them off my face and set them down and forgot that he had set them down and then CRUNCH. I am hoping I find similarly shaped ones because I really LOVE how they frame my face! I gots plans!

  21. I hope so too! I loved these glasses like cray! Italian Wedding Soup is a broth based soup with meatballs and greens. I recently made this one: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/italian-wedding-soup-recipe.html
    and it was pretty good!
